All pages and the cover itself are in pristine condition. This is a very rare Civil War volume which provides biographies of each of the Virginia Military Institute cadets who participated in the Battle of New Market, Va. Each entry has the cadets name, birth date, post-war occupation, parents and grandparents names and hometowns. Each entry also has additional biographical info or memories about the cadet. Many contain short reminiscences or quotes from the cadets.
